Questions Can I register the same day as the
ride? Yes, registration opens at 7:30am on the day of
the ride and will be $65. You are welcome to register until about 8:15am, however
you will not get a free OR Century Ride t-shirt or the $15 discount that is given
to pre-registrants that register online or in person at Onion River Sports before
7/12/08. T-shirts will be available for purchase at registration $15. Can
I pick up my packet before ride day? You can pick up your
number and rider packet at Onion River Sports after 7/1/08 or on the morning of
the ride. Where is Onion River Sports? On
historic Langdon Street in beautiful downtown Montpelier, VT (20 Langdon Street,
Montpelier, VT 05602) What can I expect at the Food Stops?
Delicious grub, water and sports drink, some shade, and
a bunch of helpful volunteers. We try to make sure there is plenty of salty (pickles,
olives) and sweet (energy bars, home made cookies, pbj sandwiches, and fruit)
to keep you going all day long. And lots to drink, water and sports drink so you
can re-fill your water bottles. Can my family or friends
meet me at the BBQ after the ride? Definitely, the more
the merrier! Each registrant will get 2 food & beverage tickets, friends and family
can purchase additional tickets so they can eat, drink and be merry with their
rider friends! Am I required to fundraise? No,
there is not a required fundraising amount, but the Kellogg-Hubbard Library sure
would appreciate it. We've set the bar high this year - we hope to raise $10,000
for the Library. If each rider raised just $25 that would go a long way toward
getting there! This year's top fundraiser prize is the award of "No Kellogg-Hubbard
Library Late Fees for 1 Full Year!" - with that kind of incentive, how could you
NOT fundraise! Do you have any tips for fundraising? If
you register online you can take advantage of Active.com's customizable fundraising
pages which are very easy to use. We recommend you send them to family and friends
via e-mail, you'd be surprised how many people are happy to help you support a
great cause like the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. If you register by mail or in-person,
you will receive a pledge sheet to use in the same way, or we can give you a draft
of a fundraising letter for you to mail to family and friends. Just let us know,
we're happy to help! I’m not riding, but I’d like to help
out on ride day, what can I do? We always welcome volunteers!
Contact Rachel Senechal (rysenechal@kellogghubbard.org) to help with registration,
a food stop, or the end of ride BBQ. Can I make a donation
if I’m not riding? Yes, Yes and Yes! Please go to our donations
page for more information. |
