Tuesday Night Mountain Bike Race Series at Morse Farm

6 pm Kid's Race; 6:30 Adults' RaceJoin Onion River Sports and MAMBA Tuesdays at Morse Farm for our
weekly mountain bike race series for all ages. This year there will be a kids' loop and an intermediate loop for more accomplished kids, in addition to a challenging adult course. Bring the whole family for an evening of friendly competition (race for Morse Farm’s famous maple creemees and bragging rights!). Kid’s Goat Loop race (for the little ones) begins at 6pm sharp.

Eco Tour 2008

The 6th Annual Vermont Eco Tour
Sunday, June 22 at the Morse Farm in Montpelier. 100km, 50km and 25km courses are available, and the entry fee includes music, lunch and rest stops, as well as a chance to win a new bike!
Day of Ride Registration opens at 9 am. Scenic 100 km ride starts @ 10 a.m.; 30/50 km start @ 11 a.m.
The charity ride covers scenic dirt roads and is best experienced on a mountain bike. A variety of courses will accommodate many riding abilities on scenic dirt roads, as well as trails at the Morse Farm Ski Touring Center for walkers & runners.
The Eco Tour benefits Washington County Youth Services Bureau’s programs for at-risk youth and The Magic House There will be food and games at the venue in the afternoon. Registration fees: $10 for under 18, $50 adult individual, $75 family.

ORS Group Rides

Group Rides have begun
Have fun, meet new people, and explore the roads and trails of central VT with Onion River Sports riders. All rides require that you wear a helmet and are prepared to fix a flat or do minor repairs on the fly, and follow all rules of the road. Rides meet in the Onion River Sports parking lot, unless otherwise noted.
ORS Women's Weekly Road Rides
Ride leaves at 6:15pm
Evening rides on the roads of Central VT around Montpelier with the ladies; they're a great way to exercise, have fun and meet new people. There is an A group and B group to accommodate varied ability levels. We will cover between 20-30 miles.
ORS Thursday Night Road Rides
Ride leaves at 6:15 pm
This ride leans toward group riders with experience at a brisk pace, or those who want to get there. Covers 30-35 miles through Central Vermont around Montpelier. Each ride will begin with a reasonable warm-up, and usually regroups around the mid-way point, sometimes the top of a climb. Riders should be comfortable riding at a brisk pace and familiar with riding in a group or paceline.
ORS Saturday Road Rides
Ride leaves at 9:00 am sharp from the ORS parking lot
This ride is a great way to wake up and start your weekend. This 25-35 mile ride is for all abilities, but with emphasis on riding in a group - get pointers about drafting, pacelines, etiquette, etc.There will be an A group and B group to accommodate differing abilities.
ORS Wednesday Mountain Bike Rides will begin when the trails are dry!
Every Wednesday night at 6:15 pm
Discover the trails of Central Vermont, challenge yourself, and have fun in our group mountain bike ride. Riders meet weekly at 6:15 pm at trailhead, ride locations will vary, so check www.onionriver.com weekly for current trailhead meeting place.

5th Annual Onion River Century Ride

The Onion River Century Ride to benefit the Kellogg-Hubbard Library is a beautiful ride through the heart of the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. The ride takes you through one of the most scenic areas of Vermont, provides beautiful views and a fun and challenging ride. Riders can choose from a 100k (62 mile) course or a 110 mile course. A celebratory end of ride BBQ awaits riders at the Rec Field at the end of the ride. This year's BBQ will feature beer's from our sponsor, Rock Art Brewery of Morrisville, VT. Registered riders get 2 tickets for food and beverages. Additional BBQ food and beverage tickets for friends and family can be purchased at the BBQ. All proceeds of the Onion River Century Ride, raffle, and pledge drive benefit the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. For over a century the Kellogg-Hubbard Library has been at the heart of the Central Vermont community. Our mission is to preserve yesterday, inform today, and inspire tomorrow. Registration begins at 7:00 am, ride begins at 8:30 am at the Montpelier Rec Field. Choose from our 110 mile or 100 km (62 mile) rides. Registration opens at 7:30 in the Rec. Field parking lot, beside the Montpelier Pool. Police escorts riders through downtown Montpelier to start the Century Ride. Entry fee is $50 until 7/13/08 (includes a free Onion River Century Ride T-shirt!), $65 after 7/13/08. Registration fee includes: 2 meal/beverage tickets for the end of ride BBQ, coffee at registration provided by Capitol Grounds, Five food stops approximately every 20 miles, Mechanical and emotional support along the ride.

Learn to skate at with Liz Stephen.
This clinic with international bronze medalist Liz Stephen will focus on teaching basic skating skills using new techniques and theories she’s been practicing in her time on the National Cross Country Ski Team.
This clinic is for anyone and everyone, with a special invitation extended to high school skiers and those interested in racing. If you have been wanting to learn to skate all season, this is the clinic for you! Please, bring your own skis.
